We had the honor of sitting down with Tyrone Williams as he recounted his experience with Weill Cornell Medicine. In 2011, he was shocked to receive a diagnosis of stage 4 prostate cancer. But he knew the situation wasn’t hopeless, he sought out the Weill Cornell Medicine Genitourinary Oncology Program, and was under the expert care and observation of their doctors. His illness went from being a terminal condition, to a “chronic condition” in his eyes, as the doctors effectively treated his cancer. He and his family felt that he could truly believe in his potential for a life after diagnosis, thanks to the doctors of Weill Cornell.
